NEW Vestibular Rehab Certification!
Vestibular rehab is a specialty area of physical therapy and occupational therapy practice. Vestibular rehab education in Doctor of Physical Therapy programs across the nation ranges from minimal to extensive training. All therapists are expected to be able to treat basic vestibular conditions, however our patients need more!
This competency-based certification course offers comprehensive coursework using a hybrid program to equip physical and occupational therapists with the clinical reasoning and technical skills to effectively diagnosis and treat patients with dizziness and balance problems within our scope of practice.
Requirements for VPT-C
Our vestibular rehab certification ensures that therapists using the designated initials VPT-C (VOT-C for occupational therapists) have demonstrated knowledge of vestibular rehab anatomy, pathophysiology, differential diagnosis, and are able to competently perform skills in assessment and treatment of BPPV, peripheral vestibular dysfunction, central vestibular dysfunction, and cervicogenic dizziness.
